Three people were transported to hospitals following a collision Friday between a motorcycle and a white sedan near John Morrow and Pearl Nix parkways.

A 53-year-old female passenger of the motorcycle was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta in critical condition, said Lt. Floyd Canup with the Gainesville Police Department.

The motorcycle’s driver, a 37-year-old male, was transported by ambulance to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in serious condition. The female driver of the sedan was transported with minor injuries.

Canup said the motorcycle was turning left from John Morrow Parkway onto Billy Lothridge Road when it was struck by the sedan.

Both patients from the motorcycle had “visible, serious injuries,” Canup said.

Traffic was block on John Morrow Parkway heading west toward Lakeshore Mall for less than an hour as emergency crews worked the scene.

Gainesville Police and Fire department crews responded to the scene, as well as Hall County Fire Services.

Charges are pending as the investigation is still ongoing.
