A 15-year-old Buford boy is accused of molesting a 7-year-old girl in South Hall, according to authorities.
Mason James Rosbury was charged as an adult and indicted by a Hall County grand jury July 31. He faces three counts of aggravated sodomy and two counts of child molestation.
According to the indictment, Rosbury is accused of molesting the girl on March 12 at a residence in the southern part of the county. Hall County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Scott Ware said Rosbury and the girl were previously acquainted.
“A relative of the victim was made aware of these incidents and notified the Hall County Sheriff’s Office,” Ware wrote in a news release.
Rosbury was booked in at the Hall County Jail before being transported to a regional youth detention center.
The Hall County Public Defender’s Office is representing Rosbury, but the representative who answered the phone told The Times they would not disclose his attorney’s name because he is a juvenile. No one from the office returned a call from The Times seeking comment.
