11 cars hit in Hilton Drive break-ins

Gainesville police are investigating a series of car break-ins in the Hilton Drive area, officials said Friday.

The break-ins occurred between 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday, Lt. Brian Kelly said. At least 11 cars were entered, with $5,200 worth of items taken. Car stereos, GPS units and a covered motorcycle trailer were among the stolen items.
