Peri Ann Thomas and Ryan Killian Franklin were united in marriage at 5 p.m. October 14, 2012, at The Barn at White Oaks in Dahlonega. The bride is the daughter of Toby and Gail Thomas of Gainesville. The groom is the son of Donald and Marie Franklin of Gainesville.
Minister Will Dyer performed the ceremony. The University of Georgia String Trio presented a program of wedding music during the ceremony.
The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride’s childhood best friend Anna Irvin Helmuth of Gainesville was matron of honor. The bride’s friend Elizabeth Eugenia Holman of Mountain Brooke, Ala., was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the groom’s sister Alana Franklin of Gainesville and the bride’s friends Miriam Terry of Southern Pines, N.C., Renee Stone of Jacksonville, Fla., and Becca Dixon of Gainesville. The bride’s nieces Jordan Thomas of Gainesville and Anna Bella McDonald of Gainesville were the flower girls.
The groom’s friend Matthew Causey of Tallahassee, Fla., was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom’s friends Stan Shubert of Gainesville, Brett Pittman of Gainesville, John Valentine of Gainesville, Andrew Johnson of Aurora, Colo., and B.J. Neff of Gainesville. The bride’s nephew Chris McDonald of Gainesville was the ring bearer.
The bride’s bouquet was pinned with her grandmother’s brooch and her grandfather’s handkerchief held the wedding bands. She walked down the aisle with a sixpence in her shoe.
A rehearsal brunch was given by the groom’s parents at Wolf Mountain Vineyard in Dahlonega on the day before the wedding.
A reception was given by the bride’s parents at The Barn at White Oaks in Dahlonega following the ceremony.
Following a honeymoon to Portland, Maine, the couple reside in Clermont.
