Middle-school students place at FBLA conference

Five Hall County students recently placed at the Future Business Leaders of America State Conference in Perry.

The North Georgia students placed in the top 10 for their competitive event out of the 1,000 who competed. More than 4,000 FBLA middle school members are in Georgia.

* Alec Bornhorst of Chestatee Academy placed second in the spreadsheet category. He will also receive recognition at the High School National Conference.

* Olivia Correa of C.W. Davis Middle School placed fourth in keyboarding applications II.

* Christa Stewart of Chestatee Academy placed sixth in marketing.

* Valentina Bedoya of C.W. Davis Middle School placed seventh in public service announcement.

* Kara Kight of C. W. Davis Middle School placed 10th in spreadsheet.

Regional events
