She is a 1971 graduate of R.E. Lee High School in Thomaston. She is employed as a administration assistant at Interglow in Elberton.

The groom-elect is the son of Fay Grant of Thomaston
He is a 1970 graduate of R.E. Lee High School in Thomaston. He is retired.

The couple plan to wed Oct. 8, 2011, at J.P. Ballard Center in Cornelia.
