Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Gary Latimer Sr. of Columbus announce the engagement of their daughter Miss Elizabeth Leath Latimer to Mr. Michael Paul Pompilio, son of Ms. Debra Gendron Pompilio of Alpharetta and Mr. and Mrs. Michael Francis Pompilio Jr., of Roswell.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Judge and Mrs. Cecil Howard Strawbridge and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Bryant Latimer.

She is a 1995 graduate of Pacelli Catholic School in Columbus. She graduated in 2000 from Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta with a bachelor’s degree in industrial and systems engineering. She is employed as the controller for Natural Body International Inc., in Atlanta.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. James Edward Gendron of Brooklyn, N.Y., the late Mrs. Isabelle Grace Gendron and the late Mr. and Mrs. Michael Francis Pompilio Sr.

He is a 1995 graduate of Chattachoochee High School in Alpharetta. He graduated in 1999 from Oglethorpe University in Altanta with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and received a master’s degree at Georgia State University in Atlanta in 2003. He is employed as a certified public accountant and tax manager with RSM McGladrey in Atlanta.

The couple plan to wed June 17, 2010, at the Four Seasons Resort in the Seychelles Islands in the Indian Ocean.
