Tony and Sharon Davidson of Lula announce the engagement of their daughter Chelsie Brooke Davidson to Kile Ross Stinson, son of Kim and Becky Stinson of Garland, Texas.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Ernest and Sybil Highfield of Gainesville and the late Hoyt and Kathleen Davidson.

She is a 2003 graduate of East Hall High School in Gainesville. She graduated in 2008 from North Georgia College & State University in Dahlonega with a bachelor's degree in exercise science. She is employed by Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Lesley and Maurine Stinson of Waka, Texas, Helen Nix of Gainesville and the late John Nix.

He is a 2003 graduate of Naaman Forest High School in Garland, Texas. He graduated in 2009 from the University of North Carolina Chartotte in Charlotte, N.C., with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. He is pursuing a master's degree at the University of North Carolina Charlotte.

The couple plan to wed Oct. 7, 2011, at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Gainesville.
