Anita and Ted Higgins of Buford and Judy and Jerry Brackett of Flowery Branch announce the engagement of their daughter Natalie Ann Brackett to Jeremy Blake Wade, son of Gene and Carol Wade of Alto.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Samuel and Carolyn Parks of Buford, Dorothy Brackett Jones of Buford and the late Grover Brackett.

She is a 2001 graduate of Buford High School in Buford. She graduated in 2006 from North Georgia College & State University in Dahlonega with a bachelor's degree in early childhood and special education. She graduated in 2008 from North Georgia College & State University with a master's degree in early childhood education. She is employed as a teacher with the Buford City School System.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Dollie Duncan of Lula, the late Herman Duncan and the late Vance and Ellaree Wade.

He is a 1999 graduate of Habersham Central High School in Mount Airy. He graduated in 2004 from Gwinnett Technical College in Lawrenceville with an associate's degree in environmental horticulture. He is employed as an assistant golf course superintendant with Sugarloaf Golf Course in Duluth.

The couple plan to wed Sept. 20, 2008, at Buford Church of God in Buford.
