Dahlonega venue Prospector Hall, which has been closed for a few months, is open for business this weekend with a concert featuring Chris McDaniel and headliners Arbor Avenue.

The show, at 8 p.m. Saturday, is all ages. Admission is $6.

Local guitarist Jeremy Satterfield, a member of Arbor Avenue, said the group’s sound is a mixture of country and rock.

"It’s actually what we call modern country rock," he said. "I have a few new members in the band and we’ve been mixing it up a lot."

Satterfield, who lives in Dahlonega, said it’s been about four years since he’s played in town. So, Saturday’s show will be a chance for family and friends to catch up on what he and the band have been practicing before they head out on tour.

"I think this weekend it should be a real mixed crowd for both types of music," he said. "We’re just going to go out and give it everything we’ve been practicing."
