The annual Festival of Trees Gala will light up the holiday season for the eighth year on Dec. 3 at the Buisson Barn on Lake Lanier, 6354 J.F. Jay Road, Gainesville.

The winter wonderland of decorated trees and wreaths will benefit Challenged Child & Friends of Gainesville.

The gala offers partygoers a chance to browse and purchase artwork and jewelry from some of North Georgia's top artists. Food, drink and a live and silent auction will be included.

The gala begins at 7 p.m., preceded by a Noel Preview Party at the home of Bob and Red Buisson at 5:30 p.m.

Gala party tickets are $80 each. The Noel Party Package is $300, and includes two invitations to the preview party at the Buisson's home, two gala tickets, early check-in and preview of the auction items.

"This event is not just a wonderful opportunity for friends and family to come together to enjoy the lights, music and magic of the holiday spirit, but it provides the chance for area businesses, patrons, and artist to work together to be a blessing for children with special needs in our community", said Jennifer Gottsman, Pediatrician at Pediatric Associates and 2011 Festival of Trees Chairperson.

The Festival of Trees has raised more than half a million dollars for Challenged Child over the last eight years.
