“O play me some Mountain Music,” is the first phrase to the song “Mountain Music” by country band Alabama.

The song commemorates the simple lifestyle of country life and outdoor living.

Next weekend, mountain music and an outdoor event will come together with the Chattahoochee Mountain Music Festival at Don Carter State Park.

The festival will be from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday,  Sept. 12, at 5000 N. Browning Bridge Road in Gainesville. It costs $5 per entry and includes the festival as well as the park amenities.

The festival will feature arts and craft vendors as well as a handful of bluegrass bands performing 45-minute sets for the crowd. The bluegrass band scheduled to play include: Sweet Tea Boys, Faculty Grass, The Varmints and Bill Long & the Now and Then Band.

Porkaholics Barbeque will offer food.
