Approximately 70 artworks of oil, watercolor, pen, pencil, pastel and acrylic will cover the walls at the Bowen Center for the Arts as part of its newest exhibition.

The show titled “Figuratively Speaking” is presented by the well-known Atlanta Artists Center, one of the largest artist-based organizations in Georgia.

The Bowen will host an opening reception for the new exhibition from 5-7 p.m. Friday, June 3, at 334 Ga. 9 N. It is next door to Lanier Technical College in Dawsonville.

Attendees may meet this active group of artists and view their talents.

The free exhibit will run until June 24. The Bowen center’s hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday to Friday and noon to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Future exhibits include “A Painting A Day” with Chris Lundy from July 8-23 and Big Canoe Artists Group from July 29 through Aug. 26.
