There’s no letting it go, parents: “Frozen” is coming back to the stage in Gainesville.

Now in its 50th year, the Gainesville Ballet is opening its production of the Disney hit at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 22. Shows run through the weekend and include 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.

Tickets for “A Frozen Ballet” range from $14-28 depending on seating at the Pearce Auditorium at Brenau University’s Gainesville campus.

And there’s even more “Frozen” coming later this year: The sequel to the original movie, which caught on in 2013 both for its story and it’s lead song, “Let It Go,” is set for release in November 2019.

The Gainesville Ballet is holding a special event in May to mark its 50th birthday, according to founder Diane Callahan.
