This weekend, get your fill of nature while getting your groove on with nearly 20 bands from around the Southeast and beyond.

Outlaws Outdoors III, a music/camping festival, will take place at the Etowah River Campgrounds in Lumpkin County. What started as a group of friends just "jamming in the woods" turned into a weekend-long celebration of music and nature said Brandon Market, one of the festival founders.

The weekend will be full of performances from several genres including hip hop, bluegrass, funk and reggae. A deejay will be providing late night tunes. Fest-goers can set up camp along the Etowah River and enjoy a weekend of activities, food and friendship.

Market said there will be an "industrial-sized Slip-n -Slide," tubing, fishing and a place for artists to leave their mark.

"Last year we had several large panels and we just let people paint various things on them throughout the day. At the end of each day we ended up with a giant, really cool mural and then we started over the next day," Market said.

The event is BYOB, and attendees still around after midnight must stay on the grounds.

Market encourages everyone to bring a canned-food item for the local food pantry or make a donation to The Gulf Coast Relief Effort.
