Local rock ‘n' roll favorites Mid Life Crisis will headline a concert this weekend benefitting Eagle Ranch.

The show, the first event at Horseshoe Park at Marina Bay on Lake Lanier, starts at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Gates open at 6 p.m., and Marina Bay is located off Cool Springs Road

Mid Life Crisis, who played the second annual June Jam earlier this month, is made up of Gainesville-area professionals who moonlight as a rock band. The group specializes in Southern rock, and members include lead vocalist and guitarist Allen Nivens, lead guitarist Ron Bracewell, vocalist Michelle Alexander, bassist Karl Reising, keyboardist Ed Waller, guitarist Holt Harrison, who also plays harmonica, and guitarists Mike Gottsman, Henry Troutman and Bill Hallowes.

Blankets and lawn chairs are welcome, along with picnic dinners. Tickets for the concert are $20, and children younger than 12 are free. All proceeds from the event go to benefit Eagle Ranch, Northeast Georgia's largest counseling program for boys and girls. Eagle Ranch provides a Christian home, education and counseling with a focus on restoring families.
