The Gainesville Parks and Recreation Department and The Longstreet Clinic will hold a sports symposium March 6 at the Civic Center for youth league coaches and parents.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. the day of the event, and there is no charge to attend. Topics of the two-hour symposium will include the proper use of equipment, and basic coaching skills, among others. North Johnson, the General Manager of the Gwinnett Braves, will also speak.
