This week the Luna’s Tuesday golf group played the Chateau course at Chateau Elan in Braselton.

First place went to the team of Gene Weschler, Richard Strickland, Johnny Nix, and Jerry Ward.

Second place went to the team of Steve Hill, Jack Barrett, Tommy Lowery, and Don Rogers.

Third place went to the team of Rob Emerson, Royce Deaton, Don Smallwood, and Jim Cornett. Closest to the pin winners were Weschler No. 6, Nelson Wright No. 8 and Stan Davidson Jr. No. 12 and 16.

CHATTAHOOCHEE MEN’S GOLF ASSOCIATION: The Chattahoochee Men’s Golf Association played a three best ball, aggregated net strokes game on Wednesday at the Chattahoochee Golf Course in Gainesville.

First place went to the team of Bob Watson, Dick Bachman, Warren Jahn and Leo Whalen.

Second place went to the team of Roy Lyle, Bill Sutton, Leroy Harper and J.B. Johnston.

Third place went to the team of Don Wells, Jerry Ermlich, Harry Barnett and John Beem.

Fourth place went to the team of Rolf Legbandt, George Clegg, Clay Bartlett and Glynn Rogers.

Closest to the pin winners were No. 2 Denny Momper, No. 5 Warren Jahn, No. 12 Ben Brooks and No. 17 Larry Smith.

WEDNESDAY DOGFIGHT: The Wednesday Dogfight golf group played at the Chicopee Woods Golf Course this week.

First place went to the team of Mike Tilson, Geoff Archibald, Bill Jorgenson and Keith Fitzgerald.

Second place team winners were Len Kaper, Wayne Groebli, Jerry Horton and Frank Bambarger.

Keith Fitzgerald won first place in the individual competition followed by Bill Jorgenson in second, Tommy Calhoun in third, and a fourth place tie between Frank Bambarger and Geoff Archibald.

DPG GOLF GROUP: The DPG golf group played at Chicopee Woods on Wednesday and Friday.

Dave Jetter was first in individual play on Wednesday and tied the team of Denis Jordan and Dwight Miller for first place with partner Doug Padgett.

James Robertson won top honors on Friday and Jerry Shell was second.
