The Chattahoochee Men’s Golf Association played a scramble format golf game Wednesday at Chattahoochee Golf Course in Gainesville.

The team of Leroy Harper, Dave Gleason, Roy Lyle and Wayne Nelson won first place.

John Gibbs, Buddy Reeves, Harry Barnett and Jim Martin took second in team competition, and the team of Paul Payne, Denny Momper, Johnny Little and Rolf Legbandt took third place honors.

Closest to the pin winners were Joe Kolesar (No. 3), Rolf Legbandt (No. 5), John Gibbs (No. 12) and Bob Pyne (No. 17).

WEDNESDAY DOGFIGHT: The Wednesday Dogfight golf group played this week at Chicopee Woods Golf Course.

First place went to the team of Jim Arendt, Wayne Strickland, Geoff Archibald and Reuben Black.

The team of Dan Arthurs, Wayne Groebli, Keith Bardes and Frank Bambarger took second place honors.

Archibald and Arendt tied for first in the individual competition and Walter Hope won third place. Bambarger, Strickland and Mark Black tied for fourth.

DPG GOLF GROUP: The DPG golf group played Wednesday and Friday at Chicopee Woods Golf Course.
Denis Jordan took first place Wednesday with Terrence Dale coming in second. Dave Jetter finished third.

Jerry Shell and Billy Corbin tied for first place in Friday’s individual match.

Denis Jordan and Billy Corban took top honors in team play.

Charley Kilby and Dwight Miller tied Norman Phillips and Jerry Shell for second place.
