Buford High graduate Austin Upshaw was selected on the final day of the MLB draft Wednesday, going in the 13th round (405th overall) to the Chicago Cubs. As a senior in high school in 2014, Upshaw hit .449 with seven homers and 47 RBIs for the Wolves. In 2017 as a junior at Kennesaw State, Upshaw led the Owls with 72 hits and 13 doubles.
