The Union County girls and boys cross country teams swept the Region 8-AA championships Wednesday afternoon at Riverside Military Academy. Union County sophomore Lance Underwood finished in first place for the boys race at the meet with a time of 17:39.7. Union County senior Emma Garrison (21:25.6) was the first to finish in the girls’ race. The Panthers boys team won the Region 8-AA title with 35 points, while Social Circle (69) and Riverside (72) rounded out the top three.
