Gainesville High's Meg Callahan carded a 46, and Morgan Reece shot a 48 to give the Lady Red Elephants a one-stroke win against White County on Thursday at Chattahoochee Golf Course.

Jodi Samples fired a 46, and Brittan Slaton shot a 49 for White County.

Both teams play in the Chattahoochee Invitational at 12:30p.m. Saturday at Chattahoochee Golf Course.

LUMPKIN COUNTY BOYS 167, PICKENS 186: Aaron George fired a 34 to lead the Indians to the win Thursday at Achasta Golf Course. Austin Booker carded a 40 for Lumpkin County, which participates in the Chattahoochee Invitational at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Chattahoochee Golf Course.

LUMPKIN COUNTY GIRLS 104, PICKENS 105: Kaylen Butler (48) and Morgan Wood (56) led the Lady Indians to the win Thursday at Achasta Golf Course. Lumpkin County will play in the Bronco Invitational at 1 p.m. Saturday at Summit Chase Golf Course.

Baseball

BUFORD 9, CENTRAL GWINNETT 1: Sam Clay had 10 strikeouts and a double, Troy Herterick hit a double and home run, and the Wolves recorded their second straight blowout win Thursday.

A day after beating Cross Keys 18-0, the Wolves (7-1) jumped out to an early 8-0 lead and never looked back. Josh Heddinger went 2-for-2 with two RBIs for Buford, which visits Avondale at 5 p.m. today.

CHESTATEE GIRLS 5, JACKSON COUNTY 3: Kelsey Neukum scored two goals, Alex Rebollar had a goal and an assist, and the Lady War Eagles held on to a win Thursday in Jefferson.

Katie Phillips scored two goals and assisted on the third for Jackson County.

NORTH GEORGIA CHRISTIAN GIRLS 3, LOGANVILLE CHRISTIAN 0: Nicole Ball scored two goals in the win Thursday at Allen Creek. Sophie Munoz added the third goal for the Lady Chargers.

JOHNSON BOYS 4, STEPHENS COUNTY 0 (WEDNESDAY): Edgar Ochoa, Ben Cervantes, Ariel Aejia and Michael Cave each scored in the win in Toccoa. Johnson (9-0, 7-0 Area 8B-AAA) hosts Oconee County at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

NORTH HALL GIRLS 7, LUMPKIN COUNTY 0 (WEDNESDAY): Alex Lawson scored three goals in the win at The Brickyard. Danielle Berry scored twice, while Ali Souther and Olivia Smith each added one goal for North Hall, which visits Monroe Area at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY 4, PICKENS 0: Carly Kinney, Liz Kinney, Emily Bendin and Elise Beigler score goal for the Lady Lions (4-2) and Mona Abraham had 15 saves in goal. They play next Thursday at Georgia Military at 5:30 p.m..

PICKENS 1, LAKEVIEW 0: James Bagwell had six saves for the Lions (3-3-1), who play next Thursday at Georgia Military at 7:30 p.m.

FLOWERY BRANCH BOYS 5, HABERSHAM CENTRAL 0: A.J. Morris and the team of Issac Black/Christopher Hedden won in straight games Thursday in Flowery Branch. The Falcons (7-4, 4-1 Region 8-AAAA) host Apalachee at 4 p.m. today.

FLOWERY BRANCH GIRLS 3, HABERSHAM CENTRAL 2: The teams of Dani Taylor/Durden Smith and Madison SMith/Bekki Benton won in straight games Thursday in Flowery Branch. The Lady Falcons will host Apalachee at 4 p.m. today.

EAST HALL BOYS 5, RABUN COUNTY 0: Dane Allen won in straight games Thursday in Gainesville. East Hall (4-1, 3-0 Region 8A-AA) hosts Banks County at 4 p.m. Tuesday.

JOHNSON BOYS 4, MONROE AREA 1: Oscar Rivera and Casey Tanner each won in straight sets to lead the Knights to a win Thursday. The team of Carlos Flores/Christian Delgado also won for Johnson (5-6, 4-3 Region 8B-AAA), which plays West Hall at 4 p.m. today at Alberta Banks Park.

JOHNSON GIRLS 5, MONROE AREA 0: Harlee Robson and the team of Emma Rowlett and Carlyn Ivey won in straight games in a shutout win.

WEST HALL BOYS 5, WALNUT GROVE 0: Brenden Worth, Max Wilson and Connor McFall each won in straight games in Thursday's rout of the Warriors.

West Hall (12-0, 8-0 Region 8B-AAA) swept the doubles matches and hosts Johnson at 4 p.m. today.

CHESTATEE BOYS 4, WHITE COUNTY 1: Jonathan Cook and Jeremiah Reed won in singles, and the War Eagles swept the doubles matches Thursday against the Warriors.
White County's Joe Dockery won at No. 3 singles.

CHESTATEE GIRLS 3, WHITE COUNTY 2: Fernanda Arcaraz won the deciding match at No. 2 singles on Thursday.
Chestatee swept the doubles matches, while Sara Beth Cummins and Taylor Freeman won in singles for White County.

CHESTATEE BOYS 3, LUMPKIN COUNTY 2 (WEDNESDAY): Jonathan Cook saved two match points and came back from a set down to win his match and lead the War Eagles (4-2 Region 8A-AAA) to the win in a match that was continued from a March 24 suspension due to rain.

JEFFERSON BOYS 4, ELBERT COUNTY 1 (WEDNESDAY): Zack Bost and Blair Buffington each won in straight games on the road. Jefferson visits George Walton at 4 p.m. Tuesday.

JEFFERSON GIRLS 3, ELBERT COUNTY 2 (WEDNESDAY): Bell Blakenship and Tristan McGarity won in straight sets for Jefferson on the road. The Lady Dragons visit George Walton at 4 p.m. Tuesday.

WEST HALL GIRLS 3, WALNUT GROVE 2: The Lady Spartans got wins from Kelly Lingle and the teams of Catherine Young/Natahlie Brock and Kayla Brady/Yennifer Clarin on Thursday in Monroe.
