North Hall wrestlers place 4th at Holiday Clash

North Hall's wrestling program finished fourth Friday at the Holiday Clash at Lambert High.

Lumpkin County finished second overall and White County placed ninth. North Hall's Tyler Kratzer finished in first place at 138 pounds for the Trojans (5-1).

Taylor Marett (106) and Tyler Goss (120) both finished second for North Hall. Andy Voss (132) and Cam Howell (220) both placed third overall for the Trojans.

North Hall visits Dawson County Tuesday for a tri match.

CHESTATEE 44, ROBINSVILLE (N.C.) 21: Bart Valazquez (113), Kyle Wesley (152), Taylor Wright (160) and Brandon Miller (285) all recorded pins for the War Eagles Thursday in Toccoa.

CHESTATEE 72, STEPHENS COUNTY 12: Jose Reyes (106), Velazquez (113), Austin Donaldson (120), Christian Zapatero (126), Zach Cheshire (132), Cody Etris (138), Trevor Comeaux (145), Wesley (152), Malik Wesley (170), Dylan Brock (195) and Greyson Entrekin (220) all recorded pins for the War Eagles Thursday in Toccoa.

NORTH HALL BOYS 69, WEST HALL 58:
Adam Kelly led the Trojans to victory with 14 points Friday night in Gainesville. Amin Aziz scored 12 points and Ethan Smith added 11 points for North Hall.

West Hall's Rico Jones led with a game-high 21 points and Tyswon Cantrell scored 12.

West Hall visits Gainesville at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, and North Hall will visit Chestatee at 8:30 p.m. on Friday.

NORTH HALL GIRLS 62, WEST HALL 50: McKenna Rushton led the Lady Trojans (9-4) with 14 points Friday night in Gainesville and her sister Mary Kate Rushton had 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Taylor Swoszowski finished with 11 points for North Hall.

West Hall's Kaelyn Gattis and Maia Booker each scored 11 points. Jensen Hall finished with 10 points for the Lady Spartans.

West Hall visits Gainesville at 6 p.m. Tuesday and North Hall will visit Chestatee at 7 p.m. on Friday.

BANKS COUNTY GIRLS 55, HANCOCK CENTRAL 30: Madison Franklin led the Lady Leopards (9-4) with 14 points to claim third overall at the Wing Slinger Christmas tournament Friday in East Jackson. Franklin was also selected for the All-Tournament team.

Banks County visits East Jackson at 7 p.m. on Friday in Commerce.

CHESTATEE GIRLS 50, NORTH PAULDING 40: Maegan Kenimer led the Lady War Eagles (10-4) with 16 points and nine rebounds on Friday at the Lake City Classic at Allatoona High in Acworth.

Chestatee hosts North Hall at 7 p.m. on Friday in Gainesville.

NORLAND BOYS (FL.) 49, BUFORD 47: Isaiah Williams scored 15 points for the Wolves (9-3) Friday at the Converse Holiday Invitational at Columbia High in Decatur.

Buford's Brad Mapes hit two free throws late in the fourth quarter to extend the game into overtime. Payton Wehunt added 11 points for the Wolves and T.J. Shipes finished with 10.

Buford visits Decatur at 8:30 p.m. Friday.
