High School Scoreboard: Chestatee girls basketball use big second half to defeat White County
White County boys get 27 points from Bradley Hurst in win over Chestatee

The Chestatee girls basketball team outscored White County 34-8 in the second half for a 51-24 win Thursday night in Cleveland.

Junior Dawndria Bell led the Lady War Eagles with 10 points, while the Warriors were headed by Jordan Taylor’s eight points.

Chestatee (10-12, 3-2 8-AAAA) hosts North Oconee 6 p.m. on Tuesday, while White County (5-13, 0-3) hosts Stephens County 6 p.m. Tuesday.

WHITE COUNTY BOYS 87, CHESTATEE 52: Warriors senior Bradley Hurst scored a game-high 27 points Thursday night in Cleveland.

Chestatee junior Barron King led the War Eagles with 14 points.

White County (15-6, 3-1 8-AAAA) hosts Stephens County 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Chestatee (0-19, 0-5) hosts North Oconee 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

NORTH GEORGIA CHRISTIAN BOYS 78, GRACE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY 41: Will Owens knocked down seven 3-pointers and totaled 23 points for the Chargers on Thursday in Flowery Branch.

Teammate Rod Collins added 12 points.

NORTH GEORGIA CHRISTIAN GIRLS 55, GRACE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY 22: Molly Martin netted 20 points and Taylor Britton added 12 for the Lady Chargers on Thursday in Flowery Branch.
