The North Hall girls tennis program topped Chamblee 3-2 in the second round of the Class AAAA state tournament on Monday. With the win, the Lady Trojans with play the winner of North Oconee/Woodward Academy in the state quarterfinals later this week. Time and location are still to be determined.

North Hall’s undefeated doubles pair of Hannah Gibson and Kaitlyn Smith took a 6-4, 2-6, 7-5 win. Also winning in doubles for North Hall was Tricia Dial and Courtney Barnes.

At No. 3 singles, Karleigh Dills won 6-3, 6-1 for North Hall.

FLOWERY BRANCH GIRLS ADVANCE TO CLASS AAAAA QUARTERFINALS: The Flowery Branch girls tennis program will play Cambridge today at 4 p.m. at home in the quarterfinals of the Class AAAAA tennis tournament after sweeping Villa Rica High 5-0 on Monday.

Nicole Morris, Olivia Correa and Peyton Brick all won in straight sets in singles play, while Brooke Kane/Breanna Benton and Kylie McGuire/Kaia Clark also won to set up today’s matchup.
