Five players in Region 7-AAA make Georgia Dugout Club list

Gainesville High seniors K.J. McAllister and Sloan Strickland were among five baseball players from Region 7-AAA selected to the Class AAA Preseason All-State team, according to the Georgia Dugout Club.

Last season, McAllister, a Coastal Carolina University commit, was a Times First-Team All-Area pick with a .449 batting average and 34 RBI’s at North Hall. Strickland hit .461 with five home runs and 33 RBIs for the Red Elephants in 2009. Also making the list are White County’s David Sosebee (6-1, 1.83 ERA last season), West Forsyth senior Tommy Ferguson and Creekview’s Christian Van Camp.

West Forsyth’s Chris Rubessa, a senior, is listed among the second team All-State for Class AAA.

In the top 15 poll, Creekview is ranked No. 8, West Forsyth is No. 11 and Gainesville is No. 15.
