Buford girls remain No. 1 in, West Hall boys out of state basketball poll

For the first time this season, Class AAA's West Hall boys basketball are not ranked in the latest Georgia Sports Writers Association state basketball poll. The Spartans received votes, as did Class AAA's Creekview and Class AA's Jefferson, but not enough to stay in the top 10.

The Buford girls, on the other hand, remained No. 1 in Class AA and the Gainesville girls stayed in the ninth spot in Class AAA. Rounding out the local teams in the rankings, the Towns County girls are in a tie with Paideia for the 10 spot in Class A.
