High school golf: North Hall's Bartley Forrester wins The Invite at Chattahoochee
Georgia Tech signee shot rounds of 68 and 70

North Hall High senior Bartley Forrester finished as low medallist, after posting rounds of 68 and 70 at The Invite on Saturday at the Chattahoochee Golf Club in Gainesville. Gainesville finished third overall with a two-day total of 588. The Red Elephants shot a final-day total of 287, which was 14 strokes better than their four best scores from Friday. 

Hall County champion Andrew Hughes put together round of 73 and 72 to finish with a two-day total of 145 for Gainesville, while Davis Weaver was 2-under par on the final round for a 146. Ryan Hogan finished with a 147 for the Red Elephants. 

Columbus finished first with a two-day total of 584, two shots ahead of second-place Marist.

Up next, Gainesville plays in the Area 2-6A state sectional on Monday at the Bartram Trail Course in Evans. The Red Elephants need a top-four finish to advance to the Class 6A state championship May 21-22 in Jekyll Island.
