High school baseball scoreboard: Cherokee Bluff takes down Fannin County on the road

Bats were hacking in Fannin County as Cherokee Bluff outlasted the Rebels in a 9-6 victory. Carsen Plumadore, the winning pitcher, threw for three for the Bears (12-8, 6-4 Region 7-3A) innings with four strikeouts, giving up two unearned runs. James Mitchell struck out two, securing the last five outs for the save. Tino Mukuno and Caleb Eiland went 2 for 4, each with a double and one RBI. Mukuno also hit a triple. Dylan Kautz went 1 for 2 with a double, scoring two. James Mitchell, Parker Shope and Tyler Zawacki each had one hit.

The Bears play Fannin County at 5 p.m. on Friday at home.

JEFFERSON 10, EAST JACKSON 0: Lane Watkins was the winning pitcher for the Dragons (17-0, 10-0 Region 8-3A). 

Jefferson will take on East Jackson again on Thursday.
