The Chattahoochee Men’s Golf Association played a two-man team, best ball event this week at Chattahoochee Golf Course in Gainesville.
First place went to the team of Leroy Harper and Glynn Rogers while Denny Momper and Bob Watson finished in second place.
The team of Greg Taira and Don Sorrell won third, and fourth place went to the team of Robert Mallis and Stu Virgin.
Closest to the pin winners were Dave Long (No. 3), Momper (No. 5), Tony DeNote (No. 12), and Caryle Cox (No. 17).
WEDNESDAY DOGFIGHT: a Wednesday Dogfight was held this week at Chicopee Woods Golf Course in Gainesville.
The team of Chris Carr, Mike Tilson and Don Schrum took top honors.
Second place went to the team of Dan Arthurs, Allen Kellogg and Yoko Komoto.
Schrum also won the individual competition with Simmie Miller in second place. Frank Bambarger won third and Kellogg took fourth place.
DPG GOLF GROUP: This week’s DPG matches were played on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at Chicopee Woods Golf Course in Gainesville.
Steve Knowles took top honors Monday, Dwight Miller was second and Bob Kidd and Horace Smallwood tied for third place.
The team of Smallwood and Knowles won first place in the team competition Wednesday.
Billy Corban and Denis Jordan came in second place.
Terrence Dale won first place in the individual competition Friday with a score of +8 and Dwight Miller finished second.
