COLLEGE PARK, Md. — Having exhausted his original depth chart at quarterback, Maryland coach Randy Edsall has turned to true freshman linebacker Shawn Petty to direct the offense Saturday against Georgia Tech. Wearing No. 31, Petty will be asked to run, pass and hand off the football.
