Brenau’s Lady Golden Tigers, the nation’s No. 18-ranked team, swept Clark Atlanta on Sunday in Atlanta 23-0 and 14-1, with both games lasting just five innings.
Freshman infielder Katie Bolin batted 6-for-9 with a two-run homer and six RBIs in the two games to lead Brenau (4-0).The Lady Golden Tigers had a total of seven homers and 37 hits in the series.
They’ll play again next weekend at the Shorter Invitational.
NGCSU SPLITS (SATURDAY): No. 2 ranked North Georgia College and State University split a pair of games at the UAH Charger Chillout in Decatur, Ala., beating Quincy 2-1 and losing to No. 19 Arkansas Monticello 6-1.
Jessica Coan earned the win over Quincy to improve to 5-0. She was supported by runs scored by Ansley Williams and Kasey Knight. Sarah Phillips lost her first game of the season and fell to 6-1 in the loss to Arkansas Monticello.

NGCSU 12, MILLERSVILLE 10: The No. 8-ranked Saints moved to 8-1 on the season, taking the lead on Terrell Jones’ two-run double in the seventh inning Sunday in Dahlonega.
The Saints play next weekend at UNC Pembrooke.
NGCSU 4, MILLERSVILLE 3 (SATURDAY): Daniel Warzon’s rbi single with two outs in the bottom of the ninth gave the No. 8-ranked Saints the walk-off win in Dahlonega.
Basketball
GEORGIA SOUTHWESTERN MEN 76, NGCSU 74, 30T (SATURDAY): The Saints were led by Carl Taylor’s 19 points, Brody Langston’s 15 points and Clarence Tillman’s 13 points in the loss to No. 22-ranked Georgia Southwestern in Dahlonega.
The Saints (9-15, 6-9 PBC) host Clayton State 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
NGCSU WOMEN 78, GEORGIA SOUTHWESTERN 74 (SATURDAY): In Dahlonega, Lindsay Moss scored a season-high 28 points, including 12-for-12 free throw shooting, to lead the Lady Saints (15-11, 6-9 PBC), who host Clayton State 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Tennis
FRANCIS MARION MEN 6, NGCSU 3: The Saints lost on Sunday in Dahlonega to fall to 2-2 and 0-1 in PBC play. Those earning wins for the Saints were Mateus Camasmie (6-2, 5-7, 6-4), Adrien Saulais (6-3, 6-3), and Saulais/Camasmie (8-6).
The Saints host Newberry 2 p.m. Tuesday.
FRANCIS MARION WOMEN 7, NCGSU 2: The Lady Saints (3-2, 1-1 PBC) got wins from Juliana Chiang (6-3, 6-3) and Jordan Poole (6-0, 6-2) on Sunday in Dahlonega. They’ll host Newberry 2 p.m. Tuesday.
