Gainesville grad named Division II All-American
Carnes led the nation with 25 points a game for Lady Saints

North Georgia College & State University sophomore Jaymee Carnes earned national recognition on Tuesday when the Women's Basketball Coaches Association named her an All-American. The Gainesville High graduate is the first North Georgia women's basketball player to be named an All-American by the WBCA. She has already been recognized this season as the Peach Belt Classic Player of the Year and the Daktronics Southeast Region Player of the Year. Carnes led the nation in scoring at 25 points per game and finished with 624 points scored, which is the 10th highest scoring total in the history of the Peach Belt Conference.
