Brenau University swim coach Blaire Bachman was named Appalachian Swimming Conference Coach of the Year for the 2011-12 season.

Bachman was hired in 2010, making her the nation’s youngest head swim coach at the time. Bachman led the Golden Tigers to their highest finish in the program’s history.

Brenau finished sixth at the Appalachian Conference Championships this year with the team reaching the podium a total of eight times. Brenau broke five school records, 11 personal best times, and two conference records at the meet.
