Cherokee Bluff spotted Habersham Central an early lead in their non-region matchup Thursday in Mount Airy.
However, the Bears roared back with 14 hits to double up the host Raiders for a 14-7 victory to stay unbeaten on the season.
Jacob Vokal had a huge day at the plate by going 3-for-4 with a home run, triple, stolen base and four RBIs, as No. 1 Cherokee Bluff (13-0) rallied after Habersham Central (10-5) took a 4-0 lead after one inning.
Bryce England and Brett House each finished the night 2-for-4 with a homer and a stolen base, with England finishing with two RBIs and House adding one as the Bears broke the game open with a seven-run fifth inning.
Meanwhile, Caleb Miele contributed two doubles and two stolen bases and drove in a pair of runs, while Ethan England was 2-for-5 with an RBI.
Tanaka Mukono and K.T. Thompson also stole two bases apiece.
Jack Sparks picked up the win out of the bullpen by allowing just two hits and an earned run over 2 2/3 innings. Vokal closed out the win with a scoreless seventh with a strikeout.
Cherokee Bluff is back in action Monday, when it opens up a week-long, three-game Region 8-4A series against East Hall with a home game at 5:55 p.m.
FLOWERY BRANCH 6, JEFFERSON 4: Kade Smallwood’s two-run homer highlighted a five-run fifth inning that lifted the Falcons (9-7, 2-2) past the 10th-ranked Dragons (11-4, 3-1) in Region 8-5A action Thursday in Jefferson.
Mason Compton went 2-for-4 and drove in a run at the plate and went the distance on the mound, scattering nine hits and four runs with 10 strikeouts to pick up the win.
Next up, Flowery Branch begins a two-game series against Eastside at 5:55 p.m. Monday in Covington.
CHESTATEE 7, EAST HALL 2: The War Eagles pounded out 10 hits, including two each with an RBI from Dylan Thompson and Josh Bull, to sweep the three-game Region 8-4A series with the Vikings with a victory Thursday at East Hall.
Brock Moody earned the win on the mound, allowing just one run on four hits and striking out three over 3 1/3 innings, while Cohen Miller threw the final 3 2/3 innings out of the bullpen and drove in a run at the plate.
Colton Wilbanks also contributed an RBI triple for Chestatee (10-6, 6-2), which begins a three-game series against East Forsyth on Monday at the Lynn Cottrell Center.
East Hall (4-10, 1-7), meanwhile, begins its next series Monday on the road against Cherokee Bluff in Flowery Branch.
LANIER CHRISTIAN 13, COVINGTON ACADEMY 1: The Lightning struck for eight runs in the first inning and cruised to the victory Thursday.
Carter Raulerson finished the day with two hits, scored four runs and drove in three more, while Camden Hohman added two hits and a pair of RBIs.
Isaac Dinn, Gavin Strabala, Joshua Waymack, and Drew Kalinauskas had one hit apiece.
Tres Criste got the win by giving up just two hits and a run and striking out five in three innings.
Dinn closed out the game with two shutout innings out of the bullpen.
