Hart County bests Leopards, 34-13

Despite being outgained by just 55 yards, the Banks County football team lost 34-13 to Hart County on Friday night at Pete Herndon Stadium in Hartwell.

Banks County (7-3, 4-1 Region 8A-AA) had 314 total yards of offense compared to 360 from Hart County.

Harrison Dale led the Panthers in the air, going 7-for-10 passing for 72 yards and a touchdown. Dale's lone touchdown pass came on a 7-yard strike to Marquaze Maddox, his only catch of the game.

The second Panthers' touchdown of the night came when Dylan Lackey fumbled the ball into the end zone and Dean Ewing recovered for the score.

Jeremy Greenway led the Panthers' ground attack, carrying the ball 17 times for 142 yards. Lackey added 62 yards rushing on 17 carries and Dale had 7 yards on four carries for Banks County.

Eli Autry led the Panthers in receiving with two catches for 42 yards.

With the win, Hart County (6-3-1, 4-2 Region 8B-AA) earns the No. 4 seed from Region 8-AA and will face Class AA's second-ranked Buford in the first round of the state playoffs at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Tom Riden Stadium in Buford.

With the loss, Banks County's season is now complete.
