White Sulphur Elementary School in East Hall will have to close early Wednesday for the Tour de Georgia, a 600-mile bicycle race that started Monday.
School officials said last week that Riverbend Elementary would have to close.
The race is projected to come through Gainesville between 2:15 and 2:30 p.m. and have a "direct impact" on Riverbend and White Sulphur, school officials said Monday.
Riverbend is at 1742 Cleveland Highway, and White Sulphur is at 2480 Old Cornelia Highway.
The schools will close at 1:45 p.m.
Their YMCA programs will begin at 1:45 p.m. and end at the normal time of 6 p.m.
