Clermont Towing and Recovery owner Bill Bowen pulls a Lumina van from the edge of the woods along U.S. 129 after a serious wreck on Monday.

A one-vehicle wreck forced authorities to close part of Cleveland Highway near Dewberry Church Monday afternoon.

Two people were trapped in the vehicle and were flown from the scene to receive medical treatment, said Capt. Scott Cagle of Hall County Fire Services.

"We (had) to cut the roof (of the vehicle) off to get them out," Cagle said.

A radio operator with the Georgia State Patrol said one victim has been flown to Grady Hospital in Atlanta and the other to Gwinnett Medical Center. The conditions of the victims were not released.

Georgia State Patrol officials said the road was reopened about 3:30 p.m.
