Two injured in motorcycle, vehicle wreck on Queen City Parkway

Two people were injured Saturday afternoon when a motorcycle struck a van on Queen City Parkway, according to Post Commander Richard Harper from Georgia State Patrol Post 6.

Antonio Ramirez, 54, of Cornelia was headed north on Queen City Parkway in a Chrysler van, and Mark Knott, 54, of Elberton was heading south on a Harley Davidson, when Ramirez made a left turn onto Aviation Boulevard. The motorcycle struck the front, passenger side of the van.

Mark Knott and his passenger, April Knott, 32, of Carlton, were injured.

Mark Knott had minor injuries, including small cuts and scrapes, while April Knott suffered severe lacerations, fractures to the face and other broken bones.

Both were transferred to North Georgia Medical Center and are expected to make a full recovery, according to Harper.

Five people were riding in the van. No one in the van was injured.
