traffic cone

Concrete slab replacement work on Ga. 400 this weekend will reduce the highway to one lane in sections in Forsyth County, per a press release from the Georgia Department of Transportation.

Lane closures were to begin at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10, on the southbound side between Exit 16 (Pilgrim Mill Road) and Exit 14 (Ga. 20) and remain in place until 5 p.m. Sunday. Crews will work on slabs northbound between Exit 12 (McFarland Parkway) to Shiloh Road overpass until 5 p.m. Sunday. This will reduce Ga. 400 to one lane during this work.

According to the release, this is the first step in making the Ga. 400 corridor a brand new driving surface. After slab replacements are complete the next step will be to grind the entire driving surface to make it smoother.
