The second qualifying period for local candidates ended last week, and the Hall County Board of Elections reported no new candidates.

Hall County Elections Director Charlotte Sosebee said the period ended July 1 at noon.

“No one qualified locally in Hall County,” Sosebee wrote in an email.

The general election is set for Nov. 8, with the deadline for voter registration on Oct. 11.
