A wreck that closed down Browns Bridge Road during rush-hour traffic this morning did not result in any life-threatening injuries, the Georgia State Patrol said.

The two-car crash occurred about 8:20 a.m. Traffic was rerouted around the wreck scene for about 20 minutes.

At least one person was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center, but their injuries were not thought to be critical.

No additional information was immediately available.
