Newsmaker in business: Hall public defender Vaughan re-elected to State Bar executive committee

Hall County Chief Assistant Public Defender Nicki N. Vaughan was re-elected to serve on the Executive Committee of the 50,000-member State Bar of Georgia on June 9 during the organization’s annual meeting in Amelia Island, Fla.

Vaughan also serves in the Northeastern Judicial Circuit, Post 2 seat on the Board of Governors of the State Bar. She chairs the State Bar’s Indigent Defense Committee and Child Protection and Advocacy Section.

Vaughan earned her law degree from the Georgia State University College of Law and was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 1994. 

The Board of Governors of the State Bar elects six of its members to serve on the Executive Committee which meets monthly and exercises the power of the Board of Governors when the board is not in session.
