People will now have another option for one-stop shopping with the new Family Dollar in Gainesville.

Located at 2941 Mountain View Road, the store’s grand opening will kick off on Thursday, Jan. 17, followed by a celebration for the community at the store on Saturday, Jan. 19. 

“Family Dollar is pleased to invite customers to experience our great value and broad assortment of merchandise in the Gainesville community,” Heather Briganti, Family Dollar spokesperson said in a press release. “Our customers can rely on Family Dollar for everyday low prices on household products, food, beauty and essentials, seasonal merchandise, apparel and much more.”

Those who attend the grand opening will have the opportunity to enter in a gift basket raffle, and receive giveaways like reusable shopping bags and cookies. The first 50 customers who arrive to the celebration on Saturday, Jan. 19 will be presented with a Family Dollar gift card. 

Chloe Wilson, the store manager of the Gainesville Family Dollar, said her employees are currently prepping the store for the grand opening.

“I just hope it brings a nice convenient stop with a family environment,” Wilson said. “I want it to be somewhere nice for them to shop where they’re not having to travel so far — just a piece of home.”

The Family Dollar store in Gainesville will stay open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday. For more information contact the shop at 770-243-8138.
