The Hall County Sheriff’s Office arrested Charles Robert Pinson, 19, of north Murrayville, Thursday afternoon.
Authorities said that shortly after 2 p.m., a woman called 911 to report that Pinson was speeding, driving recklessly and littering. The caller followed Pinson from a location in the 5200 block of Mount Vernon Road all the way to Pinson's home in the 5300 block of Mount Vernon Preserve Court.
According to sheriff's spokesman Lt. Scott Ware, Pinson exited his truck, entered his home and returned with a shotgun firing several shots into the ground. No one was injured and no property was damaged.
The woman left the home but returned to get Pinson’s address.
“Pinson fired another round from the shotgun upon her return,” Ware said.
No one was hurt in the second shooting.
Pinson was sitting on the ground around 2:30 p.m. leaning against a truck bed. Two deputies helped him up and walked with him to the back of the patrol car.
A landscaping crew was working on the lawn while investigators took pictures and marked the shell casings for evidence.
Pinson was charged with reckless conduct.
The case is still under investigation.
