Heroin suspect gave false name, Hall County officials say

A Lula man arrested on heroin trafficking charges has now been placed under an immigration hold. Authorities arrested a man who gave his name as Antonio Arellano Torres, 49, on charges of trafficking heroin, possession of heroin with intent to distribute, three counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and trafficking in opiates/morphine. During a Wednesday search of the suspect’s Whitehall Road residence, authorities found 1 kilogram of heroin, two 9 mm pistols and one .22-caliber rifle.
