Five people, including four teenagers, have been arrested following a two-month investigation of a burglary and theft ring in Hall County.

Lt. Scott Ware of the Hall County Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad said camping equipment, three guns and a motorcycle were recovered.

James Dwayne Hancock, 18, is charged with the theft by taking motor vehicle and burglary for allegedly burglarizing a home in the 5000 block of Buffington Road in East Hall County and stealing camping equipment. Hancock is also accused of stealing a dirt bike from the 4900 block of Ga. 52 in Lula.

Jacob Larry Powell, 17, is charged with theft by taking motor vehicle and felony theft by taking. Powell is accused of stealing a Bersa .380 handgun from the 5300 block of Whitmire Drive.

Joshua Joseph Stowers, 17, is charged with burglary in connection with a break-in at a house on Buffington Road.

A juvenile whose age and gender were not immediately released was arrested in connection with the Buffington Road burglary. Charges are pending against the juvenile.

Michael Anthony Cooley, 38, is charged with theft by receiving. Authorities on Tuesday found the stolen dirt bike at Cooley’s home in the 3600 block of Garden Boulevard, Ware said. A small amount of marijuana and two handguns were also found at Cooley’s home.
