A Hall County Jail inmate was captured after a short search Monday afternoon.

Dustin McClary, 28, of Gainesville, checked out of the Hall County Jail around 8:30 p.m. to go to work and did not return.
“At 10:30 (a.m.) deputies began calling McClary’s employer to see when he was last seen,” Hall County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Deputy Nicole Bailes wrote in an email.

Deputies discovered he never showed for work, Bailes said.

McClary was booked into the jail in January on a first-degree burglary charge, according to online jail records.

Deputies in the Hall County Sheriff’s Office warrant division apprehended McClary on Sutton Road in Gainesville at his girlfriend’s house. McClary’s girlfriend Elizabeth Smith was also arrested and charged with hindering McClary’s apprehension.
Both were transported to the Hall County Jail.
