A Dawsonville woman has been charged in connection with the embezzlement of more than $27,000 from a Gainesville business. According to authorities, Amanda Kaye Phillips, 31, reportedly stole 52 blank checks from Bulldawg Collision, where she had worked for nearly a decade. Investigators said she then wrote the checks out to cash, endorsed them with her signature and deposited them into her personal bank account.
