Gainesville City Council voted unanimously Tuesday to bring another doughnut shop to town.

Council approved a proposal by owner Masy Seng to bring Ray’s Donuts to Shallowford Road next to Regions Bank.

City planning staff recommended approval with three conditions — that an 8-foot fence be built between the business and a neighboring home, have no signs and limited access along Albert Street.

Seng also has Ray’s Donuts locations in Buford and Marietta.
